Great dress, Mary. I bought pink plain jersey to make this, but changed my mind having seen yours. Prints work better! Definitely keep the sleeves, it is more stylish like that. what needke and stitch did you use?

Thanks for posting this! I’m thinking about downloading this pattern and it’s nice to see how it looks sewn up. I see you used jersey for this – does the weight drag down the neckline? I’m wondering if a chiffon or drapey crepe would work too.

Hi, yes.the.weight did drag it down a bit but I loved.this.fabric so I perservered. I stitched it down in the inside and lined it with the same fabric so if.it still pulled it would’nt be to noticable. Its fine. I think both fabrics, the crepe.and chiffon would work well, just remember when the darts are joined to’gether to create the waterfall it pulls it in quite a bit. it does look lovely on though. Make one so i can see yours x

I want to! soon I hope. You MUST link your lovely dress to the original pattern! I was looking at the online pattern and there are no sewn examples of it, so yours would be the first! It would also be a great resource for folks looking for inspiration.

I’ll try to link it but any.time.i try.it never.links? X

It doesn’t seem to be a problem on my computer. Just tick the ‘based on a burdastyle pattern’ on the project page, type in the month/year or dress search term, and it pulls up items for you to select?

This is a lovely dress Mary and the fabric really suits this pattern. I bought a similar fabric yesterday in a sale, so now you have inspired me on which pattern to use. I will be adding the long sleeves like you have done.

Great! I thought about making the shirt. I love your version, dress with sleeves and you probably have more possibilities to wear a dress with sleeves than without. Perfect! I also like the fabric you chose.
