Description

me-made-March day 12!

Another cowl top, they are just so easy to make and in my opinion flattering on pretty much everybody. I bought this fabric on a trip with hubby to Germany, it’s a synthetic fibre knit, has a nice smooth finish and is really comfy. I made the top by modifying Burda 10/2012 #118B to remove the gathers at the side, it looks pretty with gathers, but I just wanted clean straight sides for my top.

Mokara – no zipper! I’ve made this into a dress as well, also using a knit, no need for zipper due to stretchability of fabric…I add in a swayback adjustment, and just sew up the centre seam…

Very pretty top and I really like the fabric – it’s much nicer than the one Burda used :] Did you put a zipper in the back or eliminated it?
