Description

I love a clean simple pattern and burda do these so well. This is boxy and i normally do not do boxy but!!! I like comfort when it’s cold and it has been freezing here . I have made three of these so far and i do plan to make more. All three are different. This one i added an inch to the bottom reduced the sides and shortened the arms. X

This is very flattering and I think it looks great with the leggings and the boots. Another job well done!

Thanks zsyzu, i’m all about my comfort when it’s cold and it’s freezing here. I wanted something warm but i still wanted to look good and this worked a treat. It looks so different in the sparkley fabric x

I know you don’t normally do “boxy”, but this doesn’t look boxy at all ! Very nice top and nice to see you in jeans and boots, suits you !! xx

Thanks chula, i normally think things like this make my yop half bigger! I’m apple shape so i like more fitted tops. I think the pattern on the fabric slimmed it down and it was cosy and warm which is what i need in this cold weather x

Nice top! And it does look so cozy. It is getting cold here now as well, brrrrr. You’re sewing up a storm from January’s issue, and I just received mine in the mail two days ago! Going to show this to my daughter, she may have the same idea as yours :-)

I like the top a lot and with pants and high boots ( your legs are perfect) it looks great! The changing colours on the fabric add some designing effect. And it’s nice idea for the dress – to combine “crow’s feet” with mono-coloured fabric (and not with the black), the dress looks very lively and fresh.

Like the sleeve length it’s comfy! With a simple pattern you can certainly modify to the weather. So much fun to play w/ fabric. ;-)

Thanks ellen, the black dress was my xmas one that i did’nt get to wear. It got on here by accident lol. The other i made last year but i hav’nt got round to posting it or wearing it. Its quite as warm dress, the dogtooth is a heavy jersey with hardly no stretch and the bottoms a wool blend x

Lovely Mary. What kind of fabric have you used as I am sure the fabric you have used, is not making it boxy?

Hi schnui, it’s a heavy jersey fabric but it has hardly no stretch? Its more ponteroma. I did a lot of altering to the pattern but i wanted comfort. My daughter wants it , but she will wear it as a mini lol xx
