I made this tank top to match my mini bloomers from colette patterns. I used a 1940’s bullet bra pattern and then cut a piece of satin to extend it into a tank top, scalloping the ends int he back to be a little more revealing. Then I used buttons as closures (tip: button holes + satin= bad idea!) They work, but they’re sort of ugly.
Butterscotch satin from fabric.com @ $4.95 a yard! A total deal at 60" wide.
