I planned to make this coat all summer
I used a Built By Wendy pattern but altered it because I read online that it was boxy and shapeless
I added the Esther shawl collar and turned it into a fold over coat by adding a high-wasted belt and antler horn buttons
Im surprised at how well this turned out. I am dyslexic and have trouble following written instructions. I am a visual learner, so this was an accomplishment for me!

I love this! I really love the shawl collar, and along with the lining, it’s beautiful. So you should be happy with it, it’s very well done! I am very envious. Apart from the instructions, was it a hard pattern to make up?

The patten was easy enough to follow, however irection number 17, where it tells you how to assemble the lining might be confusing. i had to use all of my common sense to figure it out plus highlighters to separate what should have been about five different steps. I suggest cutting the pattern a full size smaller. It is really bi and shapeless. If you are more advances i would suggest adding darts or a waist.
