The idea for this button up was born during a shopping trip with my mom. While in an antique store we scored these fabulous shoe clips in the Art Deco style. I’d just read this post on Lisa Salzer the founder and designer of Lulu Frost. For the record I am crazy for this jewelry. Lisa often repurposes vintage pieces in her work (check out the Vintage/100 Year collection) and I was itching to make something from vintage jewelry myself. I’ve also been inspired by beading which has been cropping up all over, but especially at J. Crew. Adding a little bling in form of shoe clips to an Archer collar was my marriage of these two ideas.
