  I think the design is cute, I think it would also work well as an A line skirt that would make it more slimming, but this one accentuates the curves, so it I would make the lower part removable :) that would be fun

    I understand what you are saying; this may not be the perfect shape for all body types. I also made this skirt out of the same fabric: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/girly-skirt-graphic
    I believe this silhouette is closer to what you were speaking about, right? But your idea of a removable piece is intriguing…hmmm…I love the flow of ideas on Burdastyle! :)

  Thank you all for the comments! The skirt is not super complicated just lots of pinning to get those pleats just right. :) I will see if I have time to post a “how-to” soon.

  OMG!!! I am, first a pleat lover, second I love a hot skirt!!! Please share info so that I can make something like this. It is incredible!!! I will not comment on the fabric because words just wouldn’t do it any justice. I want this for Christmas!!

  I have almost the exact fabric in a green! I loved the print and it screamed skirt to me also. I cannot wear this style, but it’s adorable. You will be very chic as the hostess!
