M for Michael Miller.
“Spotted” this fabric online and was originally going to make a dress for my little girl but nabbed it for myself.
I think this is a Mcalls pattern (can’t be bothered going up 3 flights of stairs to check). I left out the sleeves as I thought it would be too much with the fabric.
I put in a side zip instead of a back one so next time if I make this again I wont bother putting in a seam in the back.
I sewed down the pleats in the bodice and waist so it looked more fitted, did a hand hem and had to use an invisible zip for the side seam which was a little awkward but didn’t have a standard zip in my stash.
I did my best to match up all the stripes and I think the inside looks even neater than the outside.

That dress is fantastic – I wouldn’t have thought that fabric would have worked like that, but it does!x

Very whimsical and cute. I like how the neckline stripes came together.

Beautifully done. It looks gorgeous both inside and out and thats what sets you apart from amateurs, like myself. Lol.
