Description

So this is rather belated but I made a purse back in August for a friend’s birthday. I really like the floral fabric, even though it’s a bit see-through, but that kind of adds to the charm I like to think. I love making these purses even though I think I keep messing up on the straps.

Material Notes

Cotton Fabric, duck fabric, zipper.

I think you did a great job on this purse. Idon’t think there is anything wrong with the straps. What do you think you are doing wrong? When I sew with very thin fabric I tend to use fusible interfacing to strengthen and thicken and it seems to make a BIG difference and gives it more body. Keep up the great work and Happy Sewing!!!!

Thank you. Luckily the body of the fabric is quite firm, I think it is called duck cloth, and it holds up the shape quite well. I think the straps just look odd to me because it has no side, but sometimes I place the straps on the wrong angle on the body(this is the third version I have done).
