Description

This was a fun jacket to make. Its a pattern by simplicity 3538 project runway series. I liked it. The fabric used is more for home dcor and is very thick. I decided to not add lining. Instead used handmade bias tape. I like the result & ended up using hand stitching for the hemming for the sleeves & edge.

Its a very classic look, timeless which will work well with my wardrobe. I used some buttons from my stash. I also used snap fasteners for the jacket as this material is very thick. It’s more for upholstery! I couldn’t help it, it really needed to become a jacket.

Material Notes

Brocade & buttons, hand made bias tape.

Thank you Ellen. It’s nice to have a neutral jacket for summer. I’m working on a skirt to wear with it.
