Brooklyn, New Yo...
I found this fabric while I was traveling in Mexico. I loved the multi-colored stripes, and I was really into the idea of wearing it as a pencil skirt.
I made it into a version of the Kasia. But I decided, as I was putting it together, that I didn’t really want to make it with the pockets. I thought it would end up looking messy. So I kept the different colored fabric where the pockets should have been, as an accent.
I still love the colors of this skirt. But it turns out that the skirt is totally unwearable. The fabric, itself, was definitely not made for a tight garment. I should have seen that coming. The first time I put it on, I realized that the fabric was unraveling along the seams.
