Oh, I sooo loved this fabric and resisted the urge to buy it for as long as I could (as I’d promised myself not to buy any more until I’d used the fabric I’d already bought for specific projects) but gave way in the end and made this tulip skirt from Burda 2009 (May edition).
I wore it so often, it’s so comfortable and then while cycling this summer I lost my balance getting off the bike and ripped it right up the front :-( Now I’m on a desperate hunt to find some similar fabric so I can make another as I’ve not got quite enough of the original fabric to just redo the front panel.
It’s such a straightforward pattern to make and is a lovely shape when finished. I can imagine it would work really well in a stiffer fabric to hold the shape better and if done in jacquard or a luxury fabric it would work well for evening wear too.
