Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made the bridesmaid’s outfit for myself, and a matching bolero for the lovely bride who is my mother-in-law.
The colour scheme is purple, so I made the BM dress with a thick crepe backed satin in purple, with the same fabric in lilac for the contrast bodice, using Butterick 5457. I made a few changes to the pattern, including adding a waist stay, doing a handpicked zipper, a pleated rather than gathered skirt, and redrafting the lining pieces.
The boleros are based on Butterick 4731, which were simple yet elegant.

Very pretty. I like the changes you have made to the pattern. Your dress looks better than the actual pattern picture. The jacket is a great asset to the dress. Your entire outfit is fabulous!
