I haven’t completed a project in about 2 years due to my hectic schedule. Just recently, I’ve had a lot of spare time on my hand so I decided to make a dress for a Christmas party. I already had plans to recreate Lillian’s dress from the dress fitting scene in “Bridesmaids”. When I came across the fabric at Walmart I completely freaked out. It was the perfect fabric for this project.
For the pattern, I combined the bodice of Simplicity 6966 and The Pencil Skirt #1 pattern by Angela Kane. I am so happy with the results. It doesn’t look exactly like the original dress but it’s so close. I even bought a cardigan in the same color that she wears over the dress.
(PS: If you don’t know what dress I am talking about, Google “Bridesmaids Movie.” It should be the dress in the 3rd and 5th pictures.)
