Made these mini skirts for my two beautiful bridesmaids. The pattern was quite short so I added two tulle underlayers for modesty, one in fine tulle and the other in stiffer tulle for body. The stiff tulle is hidden but is the foundation for the lace trim.
I finished the tiers with a rolled hem (overlock machine) and designed a sort of cumberbund with coordinating fabric to bridge the transition between skirt and top.
Satin self and frills (so much fraying to control I ended up basting all edges of the 2nd skirt), tulle underlayer with lace trim.
