Description

I made both the Wedding dress and the groom’s outfit. this was a steep learning curve, as I’d never made anything like this before. The dress is medieval in style and the groom’s coat is based on several historical ideas blended into one. I’ve written more about this over on my blog. http://ragbagsandgladrags.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/relief.html
Unfortunately the pics aren’t great and i’ll post some better ones, once I get them sorted.

Material Notes

The dress is Silk Dupion, lined and interlined in cotton, with a silk taffeta insert at the back. The Coat and trousers are fulled wool, with a satin lining and Russia braid trim.

Beautiful coat and dress! They look very happy. I couldn’t imagine sewing a wedding dress, let alone the groom’s outfit also. They fit great. Congrats! :)
