I think this is the classiest thing I’ve made.
I removed the sleeves, i just couldn’t be bothered with the pleating (impatience is my biggest vice). I added ribbon and on top of that some trim to the middle inset because it looked a little plain without.

Great job! Very pretty dress, I especially like the fabric. You said it’s like a soft imitation wool, and by the look of the print I’d be inclined to call it calico…can’t really tell over the internet though! :)
