When I saw the dress in the magazine it became number 1 in my wish list. The only problem was the level of difficulty that scared me. It took me some weeks to finish it, when I was near to giving up I just put it aside, waited 2 days and tried again and again.
Well, as far as the sewing proccess is concerned: the V-neckline is too deep for my taste, I made it some cm higher. The starbusts are so beautiful, but are the hell to work with.
Frankly speaking I am quite satisfied with the result, although it was a challenge for me.
I was finishing to hem the dress watching “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and my look is inspired by it.

Great job! It fits you perfectly. Ever since I saw this pattern in the magazine I have been wanting to make it for my mother. I have more confident in this dress now that I have seen it looking good on a real person, not just on a model in a styled up fashion shoot from a flattering angle. You look amazing and that hard work most have been worth it, because you have yourself a beautiful and versitile dress there that will never go out of style.

Oh, this is amazing! I was looking at this pattern, but frankly I didn’t think it would look this good. You pull it off quite nicely. Stylish, elegant and so Holly Golightly! Worth whatever it took to finish it! Merry Christmas!

oh mememe-1, I am so pleased to hear this. But you exagerate about my skills – I bought my sewing machine September this year, although I followed sewing classes at school 15 years ago! Thank you so much.

This September??? I would have never guessed that… Then it’s even more impressive!

Beautiful job and looks so stylish! I think you handled it right stopping and leaving it for a couple of days when you got frustrated rather than rushing it. I’ve just started trying to work that way and it’s much better for my nerves :-)

Loved that pattern too, and I agree the V-neckline was too deep. Yours looks fabulous, though.

This is sooooo pretty ! This dress definitely caught my eye in the november burda mag but the smallest size is 38, did you grade it down ?

delphinette18, you are so kind! My Burda size is 40! And the only adjustment I made was to take 1 cm from the waist.
