This is my attempt to recreate a beloved sweater I accidentally shrunken. It’s based on a flared tunic Burda pattern, which was the closest I can find in silhouette to what I wanted. It’s surprising how few basic T-shirt patterns in the smaller sizes have this flared silhouette. The plus sizes have plenty. Why is that?
Anyway, sizing & fitting were a bit of an issue and I made a few boo-boos on the way. But I’m fairly happy with the result. I feel so Holly Golightly in this with a pair of peddle-pusher and sunglasses! :-)
Sweater knit from Mood Fabrics’ NYC store.
MaxiLock serger thread. 3/8” clear elastic for stabilizing shoulder seams.
