Braided tank from themedusa. I did not use the pattern for the top since I was afraid it may have been a little large for me.
I used one of my own tanks as a base for the top and used the instructions for making and attaching the braid. I also made a sash/belt to tie around the waist.
This one was quick and cute! I had a new outfit in the matter of hours and wore it to a party that night…
Brown cotton knit.

I love this! I was considering something similar to give it a more fitted look and now I’m sold!

Lovely! I really love the colour and the shape of the top, created by the braided strap/neckline and the belt!

Thank you for your comments! It’s really good to get some feedback, especially since I really haven’t been spending time with my sewing lately. I must say that I am really happy with the result though.

Hi zuckerschnuetchen,
I took some remnant pieces of the fabric and made sure that they were the same width and sewed them to make a long strip. It was really fast and dirty, no finishing or anything.

Cute! I have a bit of leftover silk jersey, and I was thinking of making something similar…
