Burda Style For people who sew
Description
i made this suit for my three and a half year old boy using burda kids 9781. this is a great pattern that has most of the bells and whistles of a regulation suit. i added welt pockets to the pants (which i made as shorts) and a welt pocket for the upper chest pocket. there is a dismal lack of nice patterns for boys, but this one is a home run!

I cannot tell you how excited I am that you shared this project and included info on what pattern you used. I’ve been looking and looking for a decent suit pattern for my two boys. (Obviously I overlooked this one.) You did a great job; he looks so handsome. I hope I can execute it as well as you did once I get the pattern in hand.

thanks! so glad this was timely for you. i wish there were more boy patterns out there (other than pj’s). there are a few burda patterns put out by simplicity that look promising though i only recently noticed them! good luck with your suits, if you take your time it’s really not that hard!
