This is very much a boy quilt. I’ve used denims and blue fabric patches for the border , the backing fabric is a chambray blue with tiny bikes on it. I’ve appliqued vintage looking toys on the front.
It came out a bit bigger than expected and so the wavy quilting lines took a while. I pinned each row, then stitched , then it was back on the floor to pin the next row. This stops the backing getting all messed up! ( a previous mistake!)
This quilt is for some friends who have a new addition to their family. Congratulations.
Cotton, polka dots, gingham checks, denim, chambray. Polyester wadding fro the middle.
