I started this peice a loooong time ago and it sat half done in my sewing basket for months. Eventually I realized I wanted some new skirts that were work appropriate so I dug it out and finished it.
I didn’t use a pattern, just a bunch of fabric I had lying around from some old projects. I’d just figured out how to make box pleats so I gave it a try. It was really simple and it’s ridiculously comfy.
Remnants + lining.

That is a fabulous skirt and a great outfit for it. The outfit gives you a nice shape. I like how the skirt is high on the waist. I also adore the color – I love navy skirts.

I think I now have inspiration for my next project! This skirt looks really sweet and, like CarlaTV said, schoolgirl-ish.

Cute! I like the shape and the way it lays—not too puffy. Nice work!
