I’ve made something for me at last. I love box pleats. When this pattern came up in the Burda mag I had to make it. I wanted to bind the seams and bought some satin bias binding. It was completely the wrong colour. As I wanted to get going on the project I rumaged through my stuff and found some liberty lawn that would make great binding and I love it. The best combinations often come out of desperation!
Silk loose woven tweed.
Liberty lawn – binding.

SO cute! The inside of your skirt looks better than the outsides of mine often do!

Oh, I know this pattern! It looks good on you – a simple skirt with effective details. At first, I was confused by the third picture, since I thought that was the skirt’s face, then I read your comment :). I agree with Mirela – this could be a double-faced skirt. Maybe I’ll make something similar :).

I like the style – great skirt. The binding is beautiful, I think you made a good choice there.
