I based this dress on the dress with the cap sleeves and the rectangle skirt.
However, the bodice was a little too big for me, so I put in a few extra darts here and there to tweak it to fit. It turned out rather great I would say.
On the skirt, instead of just normal gathering, I box pleated the entire skirt.
I´ll add better pictures when I have more time.
I used a heavy cotton fabric that my mom had lying around.

It’s a gorgeous dress! I really like the pleated skirt, and that you’ve raised the waistline.

This is simply lovely and I think you were right to use pleats instead of gathers. Gathers seem to make skirts more ‘poofy’! And this is much more elegant!

Love it, the box pleating seems to work really well with the fabric and gives the skirt a lovely shape
