Bow Tie JJ Blouse (

Charlotte, North...

This is the first piece I’ve ever made from a pattern. I also learned a few new techniques in the process.
I’ve been wanting a bow tie blouse for a while now. So, when I saw the JJ pattern, I knew It was what I’d been looking for. I left the ruffles out and altered the collar slightly so it could be tied.

I have to agree with the reviews regarding the instructions for this pattern. They weren’t very clear at all. I pretty much winged it and looked at the finished versions when I got stuck. Other than that, I LOVE this pattern. The pieces fit together beautifully and I will be using this pattern to make jackets and dresses in the future.

Material Notes

Linen (I think it’s linen) with denim accents

Hi, there! Love your JJ’s adaptation! I tryed to answer your question about the sleeves, but don’t know it it’s understandable… sorry, english is not my first language…. but I’ll try and make a drawing, scan it and then I’ll contact you again, ok?

P.S.: I just remembered there are diferent ways to take the fullness out of sleeves… wether they have it just on the head or also on the bottom… Oh, welll, I gess it’s time to try to draw something people will find easy to understand ehehehe… Talk to you soon, then, ok? =)

Thank you very much! No, it’s not heavy at all. The denim I used is really thin. It’s much lighter than the denim for blue jeans. (^_^)
