This is the first piece I’ve ever made from a pattern. I also learned a few new techniques in the process.
I’ve been wanting a bow tie blouse for a while now. So, when I saw the JJ pattern, I knew It was what I’d been looking for. I left the ruffles out and altered the collar slightly so it could be tied.
I have to agree with the reviews regarding the instructions for this pattern. They weren’t very clear at all. I pretty much winged it and looked at the finished versions when I got stuck. Other than that, I LOVE this pattern. The pieces fit together beautifully and I will be using this pattern to make jackets and dresses in the future.
Linen (I think it’s linen) with denim accents

Thank you very much! No, it’s not heavy at all. The denim I used is really thin. It’s much lighter than the denim for blue jeans. (^_^)
