The sleeve detail is what attracted me to the design. The sleeve is pleated at the shoulders for a puffed effect.
I like the shaping too. The twin waist darts keep the waist fitted. The darts remain open below bust (it is not tapered off) so there is more fabric and gives a nice silhouette. I didn’t make the blouse too fitted but a slightly smaller size would emphasize the effect.
I like seeing the nice pop of color of this blouse as I open my wardrobe everyday.
I used poplin and it was a stable weave fabric and smooth in texture without being too thick for a blouse.
