I made these shorts based on a pair of pants I love the fit of. The boucle I bought from Fabric Mart and after pre-treating as I would a wool in the dryer with a couple of wet towels, it turned into the softest material.
I lined it with a lilac pongee lining adding to it’s scrumptiousness. I did a side invisible zipper, they are high waisted with a grossgrain lined band and the hem was done with an invisible hem on the machine. I started with these a lot longer and decided to make them short and use tights. I’m not in love with these shorts. They are super comfortable. I might just make a matching vest to go with these since I have left over fabric.
I also made the bag I’m carrying. Check out the pattern here: http://erinerickson.com/store/patterns/two-zip-hipster-pdf-pattern/
