This dress was made using Simplicity 2047, dated 1957. The bodice is underlined with silk organza and the seams are finished with seam binding, as I don’t have a serger. Underneath the fly front are the button closures. Handy pockets are sewn to the side seams.
It was easy to sew and it’s very comfortable to wear!

It looks lovely :) How did you place the pattern on the fabric so the flowers are on the bottom part only? O_o

I placed the skirt pieces sideways (crossgrain) so that the border would be along the bottom.
