I made this dress for a family occation. My father had brought me the red silk fabric as a souvenir from abroad and the print silk fabric I found at the local fabric store. The skirt pattern is from Burda magazine, originally it was a dress but I didn’t use the top part of the pattern. Instead I used a shirt pattern from a Finnish handicraft magazine and modificated it a bit and then combined it with the skirt part. The skirt has a lining, and the upper part is seetrough so I made a tube top to wear underneath it. On the catwalk models would wear only bras (or nothing) under the dress but I didn’t want to shock my aunts and grandmother too much with this outfit :D

very nice. i would like to see the top of the front if you could do a top shot. it cuts off right at the arm pits. that would be great! thank you for sharing your creation!
