I fell in love with the print of this fabric and I wanted to make a simple dress that would showcase it. Again I used my TNT pattern Simplicity 2417
I had to play around with the placement of the pleats a little. I was proud because I underlined the entire dress. It gives the dress more body and also stops it creasing! Another added bonus of underling is when you do a blind hem on your machine, the stitches are completely hidden!
Blue cotton drill (I think it was around $8 per meter from spotlight), bodice and skirt underlined with a lightweight cotton (It’s either voile or batiste), Invisible zip, Gtermann polyeter thread, Iron on interfacing (for facings)
