I made myself this bag out of faux green leather. The Fringed section is separate and was apliqued on with a zigzag stitch then i cut the fringing. The straps are real leather from an older bag I had. I lined it with a floral cotton and added some beading to the fringe. I have been needing a new bag for a while and couldn’t find anything I liked. It was my first time using leathery materials. I didn’t think I would be able to get a non-homemade look and that it would look cheap but I am pretty happy with this :)
faux leather, cotton, leather straps, beads, leather machine needle.

Love this too! The block/square shaping of the appliqued piece is perfectly in line with the style of this bag. Thank you for sharing.

I love this bag!!! I don’t think it looks homemade at all. I like the way you combined the old and new leather together and the detailing is so much fun.
