I brought a mannequin from a store going out of business and seeing she was close to my size I measured it and added scrap fabric pieces from a stash I got free off of Craig’slist to make her my body double in measurements!!! Feeling proud and like Doctor Frankenstien my dress form has come alive!!

Thank you for all your great comments and feed back, I might try the duct tape approach next time if this doesn’t yield good results.

That’s very cool. I made my own body double by having a friend put a plastic bag over my clothes then wrapping me in duct tape – in case you wanted to try that! It worked very well. This looks like it would work very well too though.

I thought it was a cool top too! But good idea. I used to have a 60’s dress making mannequin with tiny pointed boobs. I had to put a bra on it and stuff the cups to get the right shape.
