Description

I was going to name this project “Zip It” till I saw one of the new featured projects on burdstyle home page. So our next thought was to name it Body bag because it reminded us of a board bag used for surfboards, also cuz i used stretch terry like surfboard bags. Three Norwegians inspired this outfit;

I didn’t see any kid sizes or did I have an extra $200 dollars in my pocket. So my choice was to make um for my daughters’ birthday. They Love Them! They are great for after swimming, surfing, to sleep in, or really anytime you would like to be warm and cozy!

    I too was wondering if you used a pattern and, if so, which one?

    Kinda both, I looked at an old jumpsuit pattern to get the basic jumpsuit shape.If you have ever made overalls, jumpsuit, roomper ect.. this is pretty easy to make. ( torso measurement important & crotch to ankle wanted it to be over sized so measured past the crotch). You could even do it as 2 pieces instead of 4 for the body.Added a hood, which is just a big square shape and left front seam open to add zipper.It was really easy to put the zipper in if you do it before you sew the sides and crotch.Added the sleeves too before i sewed sides.Go for it hope you have as much fun making one as i did! Hope this helped.My nine year old loved it <><

    Looks great, very cozy. My daughter (9) would love one of them. Did you make the pattern yourself?
