After an unsuccessful shopping trip with my mum I came home pretty low. My loving fiance sat me in front of my sewing machine with a meter of denim which I had picked up for a cheap price from Brighton and instructed me to sew! I really wanted a cute wool skirt which I saw in one of the high street stores with little patch pockets on the front, but I didn’t want to spend the money on it. Sooo being inventive my mum and I decided to measure the skirt in “iphone lengths” and take note of it’s design. This denim skirt is the result. It has pockets on the front and a plain back… or if I am feeling a little more sensible I can just twist it around for you average ‘pockets on the back’ skirt!
I used a tan coloured cotton to stich with so it would look similar to a pair of jeans. I am so pleased with this skirt and really pleased I made it!

Your skirt looks great and I am sure just as good if not better than the High St version. Now you have saved some money you can now buy more fabric!!! More skirts!!!
