This summer I made a dress a week for about six weeks in an attempt to restore my health. I’ve been sewing since I was nine, and it was incredibly soothing to do something that I really, really know how to do. Other things in life are a total mystery to me. This was the first dress that I made in the series. I had the fabric in my stash for more than a decade. My new attitude is “why am I saving this? I should make something today.” I used a McCall’s pattern (4769), and shortened it quite a bit. I love the dress and intend to make it again and add more pockets.
