Thanks for all your great comments and encouragement ! As for the pattern, I modified the top from a top and skirt set (Mc Calls 3681) and joined it to the skirt off a vogue (2964) dress pattern (the one i used for the pink/purple dress I made – see other creation). I basically just drafted the two patterns together at the natural waist and hoped for the best ( I haven’t ever tried it before). But it seems to have worked out ok
