I found out about this contest today (must try better to stay in the loop). I got home from the fabric store at 8, and wrapped this up by 11. It’s based on the Sewing Republic Two Tone Apron, the Tikva Trench, and a recipe at one of my favorite blogs, Smitten Kitchen.
My variations: cut large trapezoids instead of rectangles, put the gathers on the side panels rather than the center, omitted pockets (never use those on an apron) and made a bubble hem. I also added a bitty button to hang my potholder, because I’m always scrambling to find it.
I’m exhausted!
