Description

Pattern is New Look 6838. Made as per pattern with 10cm (4") added to the length. The neckline is too wide. Not a big deal but something I will rectify next time. I don’t have a serger so the side seams, neckline and arm holes are finished with two lines of straight stitching and the hems are finished with zig-zag. Aside from that the inside fabric edges have been left raw as the velvet doesn’t appear to fray. Gosh I look silly in all these photos (it’s hard to pose for a camera timer and herd kids at the same time). Sigh.

Thanks! And yes I am finally working out that bright, deep colours work better with pale skin.
