Description

with the pattern of burdafashion.com for a mens jacket (called "herrenblouson 718)

i started working and did change the initial pattern around a little. instead of doing the waist in velvet too, i decided doing this and the ends of the sleeves in black elastic material, to give it a more sportive touch

it was the first time ever, i worked with a zipper and as well the first time to do a pocket like this, but i am quite satisfied with the result. and it fits my husband nicely (me too :-)

Material Notes

blue velvet, vlisline, black metal zipper

Looks great. Love the colour of the Velvet.

Can you share with us where you purchased this fabric? A local fabric store in your community or while travelling?

    Thank you for sharing this.

      dear patrick!
thank you very much for the compliment. this is a left over piece i had after doing my velvet quilt. the material is from an internet shop (i still look for the adress, and wil post it, as soon as i have it)

(i love, what you are doing with your knitting web site)

Very impressive. I know velvet is a mess to work with. Is it lined? I may attempt to make one for my son.

dear rifka! thank you for the compliment! i did not line it, as i used my overlock to finish all the inside. that made it look very nice and gave it a sportswear-kind-of-finish, wich i liked in that case.
