This was my first attempt at making a lined blazer. I kinda jumped into the deep end, sink or swim. It is far from perfect but wearable and I learned tons making it. I used Vogue pattern #V8473 from 2008. Other than making it with more buttons and ignoring the suggested fabrics, I followed the pattern pretty closely. I used cotton velveteen with a contrast lining. The fabric was really bulky in places and required careful trimming and a lot of love to get things to lay down flat. Also, switching bobbins and thread constantly to match the fabric got tedious fast. On the whole, I like the final product but if I made this pattern again I would use a lighter weight fabric.
Coton velveteen, viscos lining, leather buttons, hook and eye.
