2 years ago I became godmother to an adorable little girl and of course I needed a dress for the baptism ceremony. I decided to make one and I wanted to be as easier to sew as possible. I bought this impressive blue satin and used pattern 126 from 5/2004 (the gorgeous fashion photo of the burda issue and the technical drawing are shown at the last picture). The pattern was extremely simple but it has a gorgeous draped piece at the front. The dress was sewn in 6-7 hours from tracing the pattern to final result.
I was so lucky that I found a necklace and a pair of fabric satin shoes at the same exactly shade of blue for a very low price:))))) The whole outfit ( fabric, shoes, necklace) cost me only 40 euros (or 70, if you also count the hairdo!!!) but it was eyecatching due to the strong color of the dress, the beautiful drape which complimented my small bust and the matching shoes:)
The next project to post will be a cute dress for my godgirl.
