Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is a maxi dress I made using some lovely cotton fabric obtained from fabricmart.com. It’s a Marc Jacobs ombre-like fabric of lovely quality and at a great price. I was quite suprised when I got the fabric thinking the pattern repeat would be wider. The pattern however prepeated every 15 inches, so I had to be a little inovative. I cut out panels of the pattern gathered them to the tops and attached them in three layers. I made the bodice using the contour bust dress free pattern. It’s a great and simple pattern……..I only needed to tweak it slightly for my smaller bust.
