We’re off to Mexico in a few weeks and I need a bunch of comfortable bottoms that can unroll from a suitcase and endure long coach journeys. This is my first – a great “travel” skirt from Christine Jonson with deep front pockets, plus and extra hidden passport pocket I included inside! I absolutely love that it’s close fitting through the waist and hips, so the pockets feel really secure, too.

The fabric is a royal blue hefty jersey that really feels very much like a thin neoprene – this stuff couldn’t wrinkle if it wanted to! I bought the last of the roll at “A-One Fabrics” on Goldhawk Road, so I’ve made leggings in the same fabric for the trip, too, but there were plenty of other colours left in the shop, also.
