I need a maternity swimsuit and got inspired to make one last night. Here it is!
I used the vintage swimsuit sloper from here: http://www.ralphpink.com/pattern-cutting/womenswear/swimwear. I altered it to fit my large belly by lengthening the torso 8 inches and widening it by about 2 inches and using the extra 8 inches in 7 pleats on the sides. I finished the top off with a shelf bra.
It turned out to be a very quick project and I’m likely to make another in another color before the month is out.
(sorry about the poor photo….)
