Description

This is my contribution to the Mad Men Dress Challenge run by Julia Bobbin. Inspire by Joan Holloway, it’s a very fitted shirt dress with contour darts and kimono sleeves, made from a vintage pattern (McCall’s 3779 from 1956). It was pretty easy to make and easy to fit too. Lots more construction details and photos on my blog

Material Notes

Synthetic bi-stretch fabric
Self covered buttons and handmade belt with covered buckle

What a great dress. I really like how you did the buttons as well. That’s cool :-)
