I made the Franzi vest in navy suiting with a grey lining. I used grey thread for topstitching to contrast with the navy and added gold buttons. Since the garment is so small, I decided to ditch the pockets, because I didn’t want them overpowering the vest. This was my first time making something lined, and making buttonholes, so it was quite a learning experience. I made it in a size 34 (the smallest Burda size) and it was still quite a bit too big. I made the mistake of putting it all together before altering it to fit (silly me), so it was quite a hassle to take in the sides once the lining was on. All together though, I learned quite a bit making this garment and Im fairly happy with the final product.
