This is the very first quilt I ever made. It’s queen size and was completed in June 2009 just in time for my cousin’s wedding. The block pattern was inspired by various pics around the internet, but I drafted the design myself on some graph paper. I also hand embroidered their married initials in one of the corners.
The blue, green, and white fabrics I had in my stash already all purchased at a thrift store. The blue was a satiny polyester (guessing) scrap that I had just enough of (yikes!), the green is from a satiny polyester bedsheet, and the white is a cotton bedsheet. I bought the printed cotton fabric on sale and the embroidery thread at a fabric store.
