Earlier this summer I decided that I wanted to start sewing again and this is the first dress I decided to make.
It was from Simplicity 4708 from some point in the 1950’s. I changed a few things from the original such as opting to make a halter strap instead of the little spaghetti straps. I also moved the original side zipper to the back and added elastic shirring as well as skipping the whole giant gathered skirt and just pleating it. (This was more because I ran out of material)
It is not perfect but I do love it.
Some sort of heavy strechy cottony blend.
